Personal Style

One white shirt, and different trousers and shoes make a different person

What separates this from getting dressed is intent. A common start is photographing outfits from clothes you already own, which shows what goes with everything and what never leaves the wardrobe. The craft is proportion, colour and cut: two centimetres of trouser length, or where a shoulder seam sits, changes the whole look. Thrift shops and alterations are the cheap ways to build it out.

First stepPhotograph what's in your wardrobe, put together five outfits, and see which pieces keep appearing and which never get used.
