Backyard Chickens
Eggs every day, and cleaning and shutting the coop every day too
Check local rules first: many cities cap the number and almost all forbid roosters. The routine is fixed — water, feed, collect, change bedding — plus shutting the coop every evening, since forgetting once can mean losing the flock to a raccoon or fox. Keep at least three; they are social. The eggs are good but not cheaper than buying.
First stepCheck local rules on how many hens you can keep, build a predator-proof coop, then bring home three hens.
