Road Cycling

Whether the bike fits you matters far more than what it cost

The bike is the main expense, though a second-hand entry road bike will serve for years, and the money is better spent getting the fit right: a frame that does not fit you is uncomfortable within an hour however much it cost. Starting is easy; continuing is not, and a local group ride is why most people keep going.

First stepBuy a secondhand entry-level road bike, have a shop set up the fit, then ride twenty kilometres on a quiet route.
