Film Photography

Thirty-six frames, and no way to see what you got

The difference from digital is that every frame costs something: thirty-six to a roll and a wait for development, so you think before each shutter press. That constraint is why people come here rather than a drawback. Bodies are cheap second-hand; film and processing are the ongoing expense. Black and white can be developed at home.

First stepPick up a secondhand film camera and a single roll, finish every frame, send it to a lab, and count how many exposures came back right.
