Stop Motion

Move the object, take a frame, repeat: patience is the medium

The arithmetic is blunt: one second needs twelve to twenty-four photographs, so a one-minute film is thousands of small movements, and that is the only real barrier. Camera and lights must be locked down, because one knock to the tripod ruins the shot. Phone apps with onion-skin preview are good enough. Storyboard first.

First stepInstall a stop-motion app with onion skinning, lock your phone in place, and move one small object across a table for five seconds of footage.
