Speedcubing

A method always solves it; speed is a separate problem

Separate two things: solving and speed. A layer-by-layer beginner method gets you to a first solve in an hour or two and almost anyone can do it. Going fast is a different pursuit, requiring finger technique, many more algorithms and better hardware. A cheap speed cube turns far more smoothly than a retail one.

First stepBuy a speedcube, follow a layer-by-layer beginner tutorial, and solve all six sides for the first time.
