Cold Exposure & Sauna

Deliberate discomfort: heat until you sweat, then cold until you shake

Venues often pair saunas and cold plunges, but you can try them separately rather than committing to hot-cold cycles. Ask about the venue routine and any health restrictions first. Times and temperatures are not targets to copy. Discuss cardiovascular conditions with a clinician; cold water can affect breathing, so do not plunge alone or compete over endurance.

First stepVisit a staffed venue, ask about health restrictions and how to stop, and begin with a brief session you can tolerate. You can leave out the cold plunge.
