Yoga
A sequence of postures, moved through on the breath
A mat and a free video are enough to start at home, with no studio required. The styles differ more than newcomers expect — hatha is slow, vinyasa will make you sweat, yin is mostly long holds — and it takes a few tries to find which one you want. The common misconception is that you have to be flexible first; the order runs the other way.
First stepOn a mat at home, do a free twenty-minute beginner session, and later in the week try a second style, say a slow hatha and a long-hold yin, to see which suits you.
