Music
Harmonica
It lives in a pocket, and both blowing and drawing make notes
Cheap and pocket-sized, the most portable thing in this family. Notes come on both the blow and the draw, so a melody needs no breathing technique. The real gate is single notes: beginners sound three holes at once and get a chord instead of a tune, so narrowing the mouth is the first thing to drill. A ten-hole in C is standard.
First stepGet a ten-hole C harmonica, shape your mouth small enough that just one hole sounds, then walk up the scale note by note.
