K-pop Dance
One song, one choreography, copied down to every hand gesture
Unlike hip-hop, you learn one song's fixed choreography rather than freestyle, aiming to match every move, expression and formation of the original. Studios teach one song over a few classes. The common snag is mirroring, since left and right are reversed on video, so teachers use mirrored versions. Many students then form groups to film dance covers.
First stepTake a beginner K-pop class at a studio, learn the chorus from the mirrored version, and film yourself to compare side by side with the original.
