Pole Dancing

Grip and core are what hold you on the pole

Most studios now run it as a strength discipline, with no performance element in class, so going purely for the training fits in. The gains are unusually visible: hanging on at all is hard in the first month and climbing comes within a few. Skin has to touch the pole for grip, so shorts, and bruises on the inner thigh are normal.

First stepWear shorts to a beginner pole fitness class; the first goal is a secure grip and holding yourself off the floor for three seconds.
