Sim Racing

A wheel and pedals set the ceiling; the screen matters less

A controller works but caps you quickly, and a force-feedback wheel with pedals is the actual entry point as well as the main cost. Mount it rigidly, because a flexing desk makes consistent braking impossible. The skill to train is braking rather than cornering, since brake point and release decide lap time more than steering does.

First stepClamp a force-feedback wheel and pedals firmly to a desk, pick one car and track, and lap until you brake at the same point five laps running.
