PC Building

Assembly is an afternoon; choosing the parts is the actual work

The physical part is easier than expected, since connectors only fit one way and an afternoon is enough. The work happens before that: balancing a budget against what the machine is for, rather than pairing a top graphics card with a weak processor. A first machine that will not boot is usually unseated memory or a power cable.

First stepSet a budget for what you'll use it for, check a parts list on a compatibility site, buy the parts, and assemble and boot it in an afternoon.
