LEGO & Brick Building

Build the set from the booklet, or design something the booklet never had

The two modes barely resemble each other. Following a set takes an evening or several, with every decision already made for you. Designing your own — a MOC, in the jargon — is the long game: you buy loose parts by the piece, and often build it in software first. Money goes on sets and parts, and retired sets tend to appreciate.

First stepBuild one small set from the instructions, then take it apart and make something completely different from the same pieces.
