Off-Roading

Never go out as a single vehicle; recovery gear beats horsepower

The first rule is never going out alone: stuck somewhere without signal, a second vehicle is the only answer, which is why company is structural rather than social. The first technical lesson is lowering tyre pressure, which does more than any part you could bolt on. Recovery gear outranks horsepower. Stay on existing tracks.

First stepJoin a local club's beginner trail run, learn to air down and rig a recovery strap, and never go with fewer than two vehicles.
