FPV Drone Racing

Fly from the aircraft's point of view, and expect to crash a lot

Almost a different activity from a camera drone: nothing holds position, attitude is entirely manual, so crashing is part of learning and you repair your own aircraft. The proper order is tens of hours in a simulator first, which costs almost nothing and helps most. A spotter is normal practice, which is why company matters.

First stepBuy a radio controller and a simulator, fly ten hours on the computer, and wait to buy a quad until you can lap a course without crashing.
