RC Cars

A car in miniature that you crash, repair and then tune to go faster

Start with a ready-to-run car that comes with the transmitter, battery and charger, and any empty car park will do. The hobby really begins after the first crash: replacing arms, tuning shocks, changing gearing, until wrenching takes more time than driving. RC boats use the same radio, speed controller and batteries on water. Off-road trucks survive beginners better than on-road cars.

First stepBuy a ready-to-run off-road truck, use up one battery in an empty car park, and practise figure-eights round two cones until it stops rolling over.
