Trail Running

Walk the climbs, forget pace, and measure the outing in hours

Pace stops meaning anything: walking the climbs is standard, the same distance can take twice as long, and people count hours instead of kilometres. Your eyes stay a few steps ahead of your feet the whole time, which is tiring in itself. Deeper lugs on the shoes, and water plus a shell is the floor for going out alone.

First stepIn shoes with deep lugs, take a dirt trail you already know, walk the climbs, run the rest, and stay out for an hour.
