Maps & Geography
Read maps closely, or draw ones that do not exist yet
Both routes are free. One is reading — historical maps, terrain, how borders moved — and the public archives will keep you busy for years. The other is drawing, from invented worlds to the streets around your flat. The idea underneath is projection and selection: a map has to lie, and the craft is choosing which lie. OpenStreetMap takes real contributions.
First stepSign up to OpenStreetMap and add the missing shops or crossings on one nearby street, or hand-draw a map from your home to the station.
