Volleyball

The ball never stops: three touches and it has to go back over

A net decides whether it happens at all, and beach courts or fixed park courts are the easiest to find. The rule that shapes everything is that the ball cannot rest: three touches and it must cross, so positioning and rotation matter more than individual skill. Your forearms will hurt for the first few sessions.

First stepTake a ball to a park or beach court and bump it to yourself overhead until you can keep fifteen touches going.
