Rowing
Eight people in one boat, and every blade has to move on the same beat
Club learn-to-row programmes are widespread and the boat and blades belong to the club, so the cost stays low. It has to be a crew: an eight cannot launch a person short, so what you commit to is a fixed early-morning slot. The power order is legs, back, arms, and pulling with the arms is the classic error.
First stepJoin a club's learn-to-row programme: the stroke sequence on the rowing machine first, then one outing in an eight.
