Kintsugi

Rejoin broken pottery with lacquer, and make the seam gold on purpose

A kit is enough to start, and the hands-on time to mend one bowl is short, but lacquer cures in layers so the job stretches over weeks. The seam is what matters: fragments set slightly out of line leave a visibly crooked gold line. If the piece is meant to hold food, check the lacquer is the natural kind, because most fast-curing substitutes are not food-safe.

First stepBuy a kintsugi starter kit, choose a broken dish you won't eat from, glue the pieces, and wait the weeks it takes to cure before the gold goes on.
