Urban Walking
Walk your own city with no destination, picking streets you have never used
It costs nothing and starts at your front door, with one rule: take the street you have never taken. Unlike the walking you already do to get somewhere, the route is chosen deliberately, and a city you know well turns unfamiliar again. People who stick with it give themselves a subject — old buildings, waterways, every stop on one metro line — because a subject stops it becoming a stroll.
First stepPick a street you've never walked, go end to end, and give yourself a theme, like spotting ten old shop signs.
