Cut, punch and hand-stitch leather into things that improve with use
A card holder or a key case is the usual first piece, finished in an afternoon. Hand stitching uses a two-needle saddle stitch, stronger than a machine seam, slow but learned once. The money goes on hide and tools, since knife, pricking irons and punches add up and leather is sold by the whole skin. It darkens with handling, which is considered a feature.
First stepWith a small piece of veg-tan leather and a starter tool set, punch the holes and hand-stitch a key fob with two needles.
