Craft & Handwork
Woodworking
Cut square, plane flat, join tight, and it stands up as furniture
Shared workshops rent by the hour and get you onto a table saw and a planer without filling your flat with machines. A cutting board or a small stool is the usual first piece, done in a session or two. Accuracy is the difficulty: a joint a millimetre out shows a gap, so marking and measuring eat more time than cutting. Hand tools are quieter and cheaper, but slow.
First stepTake an intro session at a community woodshop, learn to use the table saw safely, and make one cutting board.
