Weaving
Once the warp is on, half the pattern is already decided
A small table loom costs little and handles scarves and coasters; a floor loom is furniture and needs its own corner. The time sink is not weaving but warping: hundreds of threads hung in order, where one thread out of place skews the whole cloth, and that step takes hours. The weaving itself goes fast and is easy to keep doing.
First stepWarp a small tabletop loom and weave one coaster, the goal being no mis-threaded warp ends.
