Unlike a diary, this is a task system: a dot is a task, a circle an event, a strike-through means done, one line per thing. The mechanism that does the work is the monthly migration, where anything unfinished has to be copied by hand onto a new page, and by the third copy you will admit it did not matter. The elaborate spreads online are decoration.
