3D Printing

Printing is the last step; modelling and tuning are the actual hobby

Machines are cheap now, so the barrier is not hardware but two things: whether you can model, and whether you enjoy tuning. Downloading finished models and printing them is a perfectly valid path. Most failures are a first layer that did not stick or a wrong temperature. It smells while running, so ventilate the room.

First stepDownload a calibration model, dial in the first layer on an entry-level printer, and print one small cube with no lifted corners.
