Digital Painting

Undo and layers exist, and that changes how you work

The fundamental difference from paper is not the screen but undo, layers and free transform: you can rough something in and then revise it indefinitely, which reorders the whole process. A tablet is the main cost, and screen tablets are far dearer but more direct. It does not bypass seeing; bad drawing stays bad digitally.

First stepOn a tablet or a basic pen tablet, block in big shapes on one layer, add detail on another, and finish one still life.
