Screenwriting
You may only write what can be seen or heard
The binding constraint is that interiority cannot be written: an audience cannot see what a character thinks, so every inner state has to become an action or a line, and that single rule reteaches you narrative. Format is standardised and free software handles it. One page runs about a minute, so length is calculated rather than felt.
First stepIn free screenwriting software, write three pages of two people fighting over one thing, turning every thought into action or dialogue.
